About Me
I am a pet portrait artist and enthusiast! I love to paint in oils on canvas, and wood. I have been given a very special gift, the ability to paint without having ever been taught. I have a great respect and love for our furry/feathery/hairy companions we call pets, and am actively involved in rescue. When ill and off of work a few years ago, I discovered this gift, and decided in the future (now) that I was going to start painting for others. I paint for many reasons, some which are; enjoyment, for cathartic reasons, gift giving, and most importantly for others to have a memento of their beloved family member/companion/and friend.

My Style
Because I have had no formal training, I believe my art doesn't really fall into any category or type of style. It may mimic realism, as I paint by using your photograph, however, it can have the feel of impressionism. I have included the real photographs next to some of the paintings so that you can make an informed decision as to whether or not you like my style.
Please note, I do best with head shots. While I am practicing backgrounds, and you can see the ones I have done, I feel my best paintings are the portrait of your dog/cat/horse or bird.
