Shipping

Shipping and packing will be separate from the cost of the painting.  It is my experience that Fed Ex and USPS, are much better carriers, than UPS, and I prefer to use them.

Packing

First layer: 1 layer of acid free paper to keep safe the actual oil painting.
Second layer: 1 layer of large bubble wrap around the whole painting.
Third layer: foam board on both sides of the painting
(protection from puncture).
Box: depending on size, we can use a priority flat rate, or I can make the box from other brown boxes.
Ornaments are packed with peanuts or packing paper, and double boxed.

Painting Pricing

I ask for payment based on how long it takes me to do your masterpiece.  When you contact me, and I see your photos, I can give estimates based on size and difficulty.

This is a guide, prices reflected are starting prices.  My price includes the time I think it will take to paint that size portrait, and the paint.  The price can change based on quality of canvas chosen, quality of photo to work from, and if there is more than one pet in a portrait.

5 x 5 : $55 ( Mini portrait )

6 x 6 : $ 65

8 x 8: $ 85

8 x 10: $95

12 x 12: $160

11 x 14: $180

12 x 16 : $220

16 x 20: $260

20 x 24: $340

Shipping Tidbits

I will send a painting insured for the value, and with signature confirmation, unless you specifically request it to be shipped without signature upon receipt.
Guarantee

If I think the painting is not headed in the right direction, I will start over, no extra charge.  I have done this only a few times.  One of those paintings was of the two dachshunds!

If you are not satisfied with your painting, I reserve the right to sell it to someone else interested in the work.

(Full disclosure:  I have only ever had 1 individual that was unhappy with their painting.  Through the sketch process she was happy, but when the painting was finished, she did not like it.  After a lot of thought as to why she may have been unhappy, I realized the photos she had given me to work from were not high quality, and I had to use my creativity to help color and paint features on the horse.  In addition, she wanted a photographic quality painting, which I do not do.  Please see my homepage "the kind of pet portraits I paint" section.)
